Tournament rules
PLACING ORDER / DECIDING THE WINNER
In the opening rounds, if the teams end up tied, the order will be decided by:
- Points
- Points from mutual matches
- Goal difference in mutual matches
- Goal difference
- Goals scored
- Drawing lots
Comparing different groups, the placing order will be decided by:
- Average point score
- Goal difference
- Goals scored
- Drawing lots
In tied matches after the opening rounds, no extra time will be played and the winner will be decided by a penalty shoot-out. The penalty shoot-out will be played in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Finnish Football Association (11v11 five players or 8v8 three players). If the result of the match is not known after this, the penalties will continue pair by pair. Penalty kicks are taken by the players on the pitch at the end of normal time. The goalkeeper may be replaced by a player on the pitch.
In those categories where there is a next round after the opening round, the standings will be decided between the tied teams as in the opening round.
TOURNAMENT AND MATCH RULES
Playing time
- G14 2x20min (11v11)
- G10-G13 1x25min (8v8)
- G8-G9 1x25min (5v5)
- G7 1x15min (5v5)
Matches will be played in accordance with the rules of the game as approved by FIFA, the Finnish Football Association and the tournament. Three points are awarded for a win and one point for a tie. Matches will be played in accordance with the current rules for young players of the Finnish Football Association (Kaikki pelaa).
In the 11v11 and 8v8 categories, the three best teams will be awarded trophies and medals. In the 5v5 categories no rankings will be decided and all teams will receive participation medals.
- Teams must enter their player lists into the tournament system before arriving at the field for the first game of the tournament. The list must include the names, dates of birth and player numbers of the players. The team's contact details must also be entered in the Torneopal. Player lists cannot be edited by the tournament organiser after registration.
- Teams must be ready in good time before the start of the game in order for the game to start as scheduled.
- A player or coach who has been sent off shall be suspended for at least the next match in the group in which he was sent off.
- If the jerseys of the two teams are indistinguishable, the visiting team shall be obliged to change its jersey. The use of vests is permitted.
- The goalkeeper's jersey must be clearly distinguishable. The use of a vest is permitted.
OVER-AGE AND AGE LIMITS
All players must have a valid licence.
Valid over-age licenses from the Finnish Football Association are valid for the tournament only. Any other over-aged player must be agreed in advance with the Head of Tournament. Keeping with the spirit of the tournament, the starting point is not to bring over-aged players onto the field to ensure victory.

ABSENCE
If a team does not arrive to the match within five minutes of the start of the match, the team that was on time will be deemed the winner. If the team has a valid reason for being late, the match may be played within the time remaining.
INSURANCE
Each participant in the tournament must have their own valid insurance. Foreign players must have a valid travel insurance or other insurance to cover accidents during matches.
